I grew up free, not having to watch and worry about what I said, we were Americans, we were free. Big
statement, and I can just hear some of you saying "Oh please."

Well, either you never lived in that time or you have lost your way. Just a few things to point out as to what
was and what is. When I was a child, every morning before class started we pledged allegiance to the flag,
and even had a prayer, yes we prayed. I remember looking forward to placing my hand over my heart for
that pledge. I was proud, even as a small boy I knew it meant something and somehow I understood the
sacrifice of others, enabling me to do that. Now that is gone. The ten commandments use to be in the court
houses. Now they're gone. Free speech meant free speech. Now it is gone. Americans today lower the
voice when they want or need to say how they really feel about certain issues.
