A Little Bit of the Kimes History....

Royal Wade Kimes' biography reads like a fairy tale of
impossible to incredible.

He rode the Arkansas/Oklahoma border range from the
time he could set a saddle until he was in his twenties.
His dad had a ranch and ran cattle on thousands of acres,
off and on the ranch. When the range closed down, it
left him nothing to do but work a sawmill and rodeo.
He soon became restless with that.

Royal Wade Kimes is a throw-back to his family tree, in
that he has some of the outlaw blood running through his
veins. His family ran with the likes of Bonnie and Clyde,
Pretty Boy Floyd, and Ma Barker, and formed their own
gang called the Pampa Gang. The restless blood took over.
Finally, he picked up his guitar and headed for Music City.
He played writers nights, worked horse ranches for the
day job and hung in there until a stroke of luck -- or divine
intervention -- came along. He met the late Eddy Arnold in
a hardware store in Brentwood Tennessee and, when they
became friends, things began to shape up.
Bob Doyle, who would later become manager for Garth Brooks, knew Royal Wade and put the two of them
together. It was soon off to the races!

Royal Wade Kimes has written songs for Garth Brooks, Diamond Rio, Gene Watson and others. He then signed
with Asylum Records, went on to have a top ten dance record across the nation as well as a top video, and
toured heavily across the country. He became the hottest country act on the Wal-Mart Country Tour. Things
suddenly changed at the label and he left to pursue his dream, basically on his own. Wonderment Records, the
record label he established, was his next adventure.

All the big shots on the row thought he was done. Do you remember the part about Royal Wade Kimes having
some outlaw in him? He bucked the system and turned defeat into victory before their eyes. They call him the
Nashville Outlawï for beating that system; he calls it the hand of God, giving him the strength and the will to
take on the giants of the music industry and win. It truly was David taking on Goliath.

Royal Wade Kimes has won two Will Rogers awards, has been named best album by True West Magazine, and
XM Radio called his "Strikinï' Matches" the best album of the year. Western Writers of America recognized his
song "Apache Kid" as a finalist in 2009 and his CD "White Light" garnered a number one single, "Desperate
Men."

Nashville's Outlaw isn't through yet. Just wait 'till you see what he has planned for 2010!
