Hi, this is Royal Wade.

I have something rather urgent to talk with you about. A lot of you know my friend Country Dan on XM Radio, I'm sure he is friends with some of you. If you don't know him, hope you get to, he will warm your heart.

Some of you may know that XM and Sirius satellite radio merged. In doing so, they came in and gave Country Dan a pinkslip. It left him broken. Country Dan thought he had found a home, a place he would be until he retired. He thought he had a family that would be with him until he left the airways. His family has been you the listener. Dan loves his show, his job, and his family. I know first hand because I have spent hours with him when he would talk about his family, I saw the compassion, I also saw his passion for the music.

You see Dan is doing more than just playing music, he's preserving a way of life, a bit of history, he's keeping something alive, something worth keeping alive, the history of the music, which is part of America's heritage. Maybe that's why his station is called "America." How does a corporation just kill a nations heritage? How does it get the nerve and gall to walk in and take a man's life away from him. His job, his family, his heart?

Folks I'm going to ask a favor of you. I have never asked anything of my fans, especially for me, none I can remember, but I would like to ask this:::: Below are contacts to XM/Sirius. Please write, call, email, whatever method you feel led to use, but write and tell XM that you plan to drop your subscription to satellite radio if they drop Country Dan and his show.

It seems a little elderly lady has already done that on her show, seems she has a gospel show on a network and she asked her fans to do this very thing I'm asking. It has worked to some degree. They were asking Dan to leave the airways on the 4th of Nov. That has been moved to the 14th. My thinking is... they want to see how much fall out comes from letting him go. (Money loss) if there is one thing the big greedy corps can't stand is losing money, hit 'em in the pocket book and they start sweating. Afraid they want meet stockbrokers expectations.

One last thing and I will go. Country Dan is not allowed to talk about this on air. If he or anyone else does while on air he will be asked to leave immediately. So, if you call in to request a song and you want to talk to him, please wait till he has you off air, we do not want to jeopardize his job anymore than it already is.

Thank you and may God bless. It feels good, Americans helping Americans.

Royal Wade Kimes
