"The news is in. The Mount Royal Trail Ride and Concert event raised more money than any event put on for the meals for kids program in 2008, feeding 2336 children.
Thanks to all the sponsors, riders, musicans, landowners, and a special thanks to all the people who gave so freely of their time in helping with the event. Thanks to Sue Robinson and Bob Curd at the Clearing House for being so wonderful to work with, making it a success. From the gang at "Mount Royal Trail Ride,"

ROYAL WADE KIMES THOUGHTS ---- COUNTRY DAN WAS SILENT TONIGHT.
Tonight, the 12th day of Nov. has always been a day of happiest for me, well for several years now, happens to be my son's birthday. Time sure gets away.
This year I'm left a bit saddened by the latest current events regarding my friend, Country Dan and the world of Satellite Radio. It was my hope that Satellite Radio would be different than FM, meaning that Satellite had some kind of regard for the people who worked for them, unlike conglomerate owned FM.
I guess that won't be the case. Satellite Radio has no feelings for their personnel either......... seems the bottom line is the end all, once again the bean counters are in control of creativity, makes not a lick of sense to this song writing cowboy. When I say once again, I mean this has already taken place on music row. Bean counters have been running the labels in Nashville pretty much since Chet left this world.
Country Dan was silent tonight across America. His voice unheard. I found myself longing to hear his voice tonight. I almost could hear him say "That one went out to the SPOILED BRAT heading out across Ohio to IL., and then I thought I could hear him say, " that's the legendary Danny Davis with my good friend Royal Wade Kimes doing DANNY PLAY for AUNT PITTYPATTY." Then I come to myself and realize.... no.... no Country Dan has been silenced. Once I came to grips with the notion that I would not hear his warm soothing voice tonight, I said as loud as I could....... THAT ONE GOES OUT TO OLD HANDLE BAR AND WILEY TONIGHT, HANDLE BARS COMING OUT OF AR HEADED TO KANSAS, AND WILEY IS UP IN NE. GOING TO VA. ... AND HERE'S ONE FOR JESSE JAMES LEAVING VA HEADED TO CA. WITH A LOAD OF CATTLE. Once I gained my composure, and wiped a tear away with my shirtsleeve, I smiled, then I even laughed. You know why....? Because Country Dan did something Satellite Radio can never do. He ... not satellite, brought smiles to the faces, kept the trucker from being lonely out on a lonely road, he was the voice, not the satellite, he was a friend, not the satellite, not the bean counter. I laughed aloud....... because all the corporations in the world can never take that away from him. He will always be their voice, he will always be their friend, he will always be AMERICA. That is the one thing they can never take, they can never take his memories, his family, because family is blood. What sirious radio has not taken into account when they silenced this great man........ was the fact that a satellite cannot love, these truckers and Country Dan truly have feelings of compassion for one another, they may be tough men, but they can feel..... no machine can do that. I still hold out hope that Satellite Radio bean counters can see the mistake they have made and reinstate this great man, who is so loved, back to his rightful job.
Either way it goes, however it turns out........... tonight, though I feel some degree of sadness, I salute this great man, this American, who goes by the name of Country Dan. Goodnight my friend, goodnight.

ROYAL WADE KIMES TEAMS UP WITH
COUNTRY DAN XM SATELLITE RADIO
Royal Wade Kimes teams up with Country Dan of XM-Sirius Satellite Radio - AMERICA – Channel 10 on November 10, 2008 at 8:00 PM Eastern Time.
Country Dan, who has dedicated the last forty years of his life to radio, is by all accounts, the #1 DJ for ‘AMERICA’. His listening audience of truckers, teachers, construction workers, lawyers, DC officials, bankers, stock brokers, ranchers, car dealers, carpenters, clerks, every walk of life in America, tunes into Channel 10 – ‘America’ when 8 p.m. Eastern comes around. No wonder the station is called ‘AMERICA’! Royal Wade counts it an honor to be asked to be on air live with someone of Country Dan's popularity.
“Yeah, Country Dan has a following second to none, I know about it first hand, I receive emails from all over the country asking when I'm going to be back on air with Country Dan. These emails are coming from Country Dan's listeners, because of Country Dan they now are my fans too.” The last time Royal Wade Kimes teamed up with Country Dan the phone banks were jammed for the full four (4) hours. October 14, 2008

Royal Wade was host to a sold-out concert and trail ride October 3 - 5, 2008 where some 21 states were represented for the event. The concert is held annually in Chester, Arkansas, Royal Wade's home town. The concert benefits the 'Meals for Kids' program which feeds needy children on week-ends with a back-pack of food which doesn't require preparation.
This year's event featured the new 'Cowboy Spirit Award' and first to receive the award was T. J. Brown, a retired top bronc rider, residing in Natural Dam, AR. The annual award honors cowboys from teenagers to a senior cowboy in their twilight-years who lived their life keeping the cowboy spirit alive. As a child, Royal Wade idolized T. J. Brown, kids naturally admire cowboys, and this event is to help kids, not only in health and foods, but provide them the opportunity to see cowboys exhibit their true 'cowboy spirit'.
This was the 3rd Annual Mount Royal Trail Ride and Concert
put on by Royal Wade Kimes and it's grown beyond imagina-tion. When
Royal Wade was asked about the event he said, "it's just getting
started! When riding the high country anything can happen, who would
have believed a town like Chester with population of 99 could fill
up a fifty acre ranch with an event! Riding high. . . I reckon!"

ROYAL WADE KIMES RIDES IN TO THE FORT ON A DODGE
Royal Wade Kimes, Country and Western’s number one recording artist in the Nation, shoots commercial for Arkansas and Oklahoma dealer in Ft. Smith, Arkansas. The commercial covers eleven (11) counties in Arkansas and as many in Oklahoma. This will be his second commercial for Breeden Dodge, a Five-Star Dealership. Royal Wade has written two (2) jingles for the commercials, the first one was so catchy a ball bounced across the screen on top of the words and the audience sang along. Karen Allison, who writes and handles promotions for Breeden Dodge, is ecstatic with the ease and quickness in which Royal Wade is able to do the commercial. The new jingle will be shot this week in Ft. Smith. How infectious are the jingles?. . . Royal Wade walks into a restaurant and the folks start singing the commercial to him. . . putting a smile o on his face. Royal Wade chose to do a Dodge Commercial because it is America’s number one ‘Cowboy Truck’ and chose Breeden Dodge because of their reliability

ROYAL WADE KIMES
THROWS A WIDE LOOP
Royal Wade Kimes has established himself as a 'singing cowboy throwing a wide loop.' Country Weekly, the largest country music magazine in the world, just a few weeks ago mentioned him being called the '21st Century Marty Robbins by his peers. Just this week Western Way Magazine, published by the Western Music Association, has given him a major story, written by Marvin O'Dell, a free lance writer, in which they take their hats off to Royal Wade Kimes for his vision to the future of the music business as a whole.
Don Cusic, a premier historian of country music, an internationally known scholar, instructor and writer gave ink to the fact that Royal Wade Kimes had stirred up quite a bit of dust with the Country Weekly article. . . .not only in Country but Western as well.
With Royal Wade's new show on XM Channel 10 'AMERICA', 'Tales From The Trail', America gets a real taste of just how wide the prairie is in Country and Western music. The public gave it a thumbs up by the show receiving more e-mail and phone-ins than any debuting show since the beginning of XM Satellite Radio.
Royal Wade Kimes was the No. 1 most downloaded Country & Western Artist on iTunes just a few weeks ago, serving notice to all that his brand of music is alive and well. It was the first time a more western flavored country act accomplished that.
Wade's view, "everything has a beginning. . . we've begun".
Yes, Royal Wade throws a wide loop, he sees no fences and ropes in
both Country and the Western; as he put it, "this music used
to be called Country and Western. But, if you go back and check it
out, Western might have been leading the herd and Country might have
been riding drag!"

CATCHING UP WITH
Happy Trails
Real cowboy Royal Wade Kimes
reveals his calling is to bring
back the Old West - and he's
loving every minute of it!
STORY BY BOB PAXMAN
Fans and aficionados of the Old West- Royal Wade Kimes
knows you're out there somewhere. And he understands that sometimes
you feel like the Lone Ranger, because no one else seems to share
your passion.
Well, Royal Wade does. And this true son of the West, a descendent
of Ozark Mountain bank robbers, is feeding that passion with a
new CD of cowboy songs, How the West Was Sung, and his XM Satellite
Radio program, Tales From the Trail, which premiered April 20.
"On the radio show, we tell stories about the West, and we
have guests who come in and perform," notes Royal Wade, who
has twice won the Academy of Western Artists Will Rogers Award
for promoting and preserving Western Heritage. "There is
a renewed interest in cowboy culture."
BEING HIMSELF
And that couldn't be better news for Royal Wade, who's
put the "western" back in "country and western"
with acclaimed albums like Hangin' Around the Moon and A Dyin'
Breed, which features his duet with pal Garth Brooks, "Night
Birds." And Royal Wade's also an accomplished Western artist
and novelist. Check out royalwadekimes.com.
"When I was in Nashville I couldn't get arrested," declares
Royal Wade, a one-time farmhand for country icon Loretta Lynn.
"Then I just decided that I had to be me. I'm a cowboy-I
ride trails, I can rope. I figured if I kept hitting the same
licks," he smiles, "sooner or later I'd chop a tree
down."
Now he's building a strong following with his throwback style.
"People tell me that they feel that they can get away from
everything with my music," explains Royal Wade. "After
listening to these cowboy songs, they have a different outlook
on life."
Wade's been called a "21st-century Marty Robbins."
'GOOD-BYE'
"I lost a good friend today. Mister Eddy Arnold was the reason
for any success I may have achieved in the world of music. I could

ANOTHER NOTCH ON THE HANDLE FOR ROYAL
WADE KIMES
"Faster Gun" is rising to the top ten, currently at
#6, with lightening speed. They may have forgotten the likes of
Marty Robbins in the States, but Europe and Australia have embraced
Royal Wade Kimes with "Faster Gun", a song not unlike
that of Marty Robbins', "Big Iron".
According to Hot Country News, Royal Wade Kimes' "Faster Gun" has been well received. The song is a gunfighter uptempo with nice harmonies and co-written with the talented Michael Hauser, former program director of KOMS Radio in the great State of Arkansas.
